android updated image showing alt textIf you are reading this tutorial then the chances are, you have already updated your android to marshmallow and you are looking out for the things to do on your updated android phone/tablet. This tutorial is exactly about that in which you will get to know about the things you must do after updating android to marshmallow.

The very first thing that you should do is go ahead and install Android N keyboard. The first thing that I like about this keyboard is now it supports a bunch of themes which can be changed according to your preferences, you can also set your own photo which is a very nice option. On the top, you will find an option called key border which will basically separate alphabets to give it a rigid look. You can use this keyboard single handed by reducing the keyboard size. Now you can directly select a word or words from your keyboard and delete it.
android os image showing alt textos 1+1 image showing alt textandroid update image showing alt text

The next thing you should do is to install OS1+1(Theme) on your updated android. It has very good icon packs and tons of customization feature so you should definitely give it a try.

My third pick for you is the amazing app lock. Many android devices are provided with fingerprint functionality so lets make a use of it and lock the apps with the fingerprint sensor. This app lock feature is present by default in many android devices, you can check it by going to Settings<<Security<<Application Lock. If you do not find the application lock then do not worry there is an alternative for it. You can download an app called LOCKDOWN PRO from play store which will help you to lock apps with the fingerprint.

The next thing you should do is to improve the battery performance. Many of the apps are always on even if you close them. This will great battery drain. You need to force close them to avoid the issue with the battery performance. Go to Settings<<Background app management then click on three dots on the top right-hand corner and select restrict all. It will simply turn off the apps which are always on in the background.

The last thing you should do is set the permissions on the individual application. Go to Settings<<Apps now open any app, for instance, Facebook then click on permissions. Now you can set permissions for Facebook to use your camera, microphone, contacts, gallery, microphone, location. If you turn off the camera for Facebook then Facebook will no longer be able to use the camera on your device.

The additional tip for you is to adjust the toggles in notification taskbar. To enable this feature, you need to turn on the system UI tuner which can be done by dragging the notification panel and then long pressing the settings icon.

Note: The above-mentioned features are stock android specific. If you are running android marshmallow on top of MIUI or Touch Wiz UI, then you may not found some of the features mentioned above.

Watch this video from my YouTube channel for a detailed explanation on TOP 5 things you must do after updating android to marshmallow.

PRE-REQUISITES:

  • Download the Kingroot app from its official website.

Lenovo Vibe K4 Note was one of the best flagships of 2017 by Lenovo. It provided many functionalities of high-end smartphones at a low price. The features included a fingerprint sensor, VR Mode, and Dolby atmos speakers. It was launched in January 2016 with Android 5.0 Lollipop and by the end of June 2016, Android 6.0 Marshmallow was officially released through OTA. But there is no official announcement for the Android 7.0 nougat for k4 note. As CyanogenMod is dead now, developers of it have launched lineage OS and they developed this ROM for Lenovo k4 Note based on Android 7.1.1  Nougat. You need to perform this action of updating step by step carefully then you can get this Android Nougat on your Lenovo k4 Note without any issue. Android Nougat update comes with tons of new features like Multi-window, floating window, quick toggles, protected apps, blocking the number throughout the operating system and lot more. It is not required for you to be a developer or an expert in this field to perform this process. I have done my best to make this tutorial simple and minimal so you can proceed without any hesitation.

Security is something which everybody wants in our life but nobody actually wants to spend money on it. All of us have that brother, sister or roommate touching our stuff we know about it but still, cannot do anything about it. We always worry about the stuff being taken or stolen or misplaced. So in this tutorial lets make the use of an android device and protect our stuff by using it as cheap/free/secure CCTV surveillance camera.

      DOWNLOADS:
      IP Cam-Click here to download
Home Security Alfred-Click here to download

IP webcam uses your phones camera and at the same time, it wirelessly transmits the footage to a computer over a local Wi-Fi network. The same way professional CCTV camera work. Make sure that your computer and your phone are connected to same Wi-Fi network. You can also set port forwarding and can view the footage anywhere in the world. If you do not have Wi-Fi router then you can use hotspot option on your phone to connect phone and computer wirelessly.

On IP webcam, slide down and tap on start server button and note the IP address being displayed on IP Cam. You need to enter this IP address into your computers address bar to see the live footage from your phone. If you are not able to see the footage then simply click on flash and you will start receiving the live footage from your phone to computer. You can also set the quality of your video. You can also set the exposure. You can turn on or off flash directly from the computer. You can also record the footage which is for free and always be free.
ip webcam image showing alt textip webcam browser image showing alt text

If you are not interested in using a computer and just want to have a live view from one phone to another then use the second app in the list i.e, Home Security IP Camera by Alfred.

You need two phones for this, install the app on both the phones. After installation is completed, open it up and select the device which you want to use it as CCTV camera as Transmitter and another phone to be a receiver. And it starts working, it not only records video but audio as well. Both of these devices can be connected to the different network so that you can access the live footage from anywhere in the world through the internet.

You can put your phone to sleep and put a password on it and it will still work. This method is 100%  free and very secure.

DISCLAIMER: I have used my Redmi note 3 and k4 note as a CCTV surveillance camera and it was able to transfer the footage over the internet so it must work with other devices too.

Final Conclusion: You can send your live footage from an android smartphone with the help of IP webcam app. In case you do not like this app then you can go for Home security IP camera which has very easy functions.

Syncovery Super Flexible File Synchronizer 32 64 bit 7 28 En Fr De

on screen keys image showing alt text

Many Android phones do not have backlit keys in its hardware which makes it very difficult to take a look or hit the keys at night or in any dark condition.By default Nexus and One plus devices comes with this feature which helps them to turn on or off the on-screen keys. If your android is on 5.0 Lollipop or above then you can get this on screen keys. Basically, there are several ways to get the on screen keys but I have shown the best two ways. The first method is using an app which is not difficult.  It is the fasted and easiest way to get the soft buttons on your phone. If this method did not help you to get the navigation keys then skip to the next method. The second method involves some changes in the build of your android. Ill try to make this tutorial as simple as possible.

NOTE: This is 100% an easy and safe method without causing any harm to your device unless you mess up with build prop files. You dont require any PC or laptop. You just need to perform some customization on your android device itself. This is no data loss method and all your device pictures and other data will be saved.

      THINGS TO DO BEFORE:
      • Your device must be rooted. Applying the on screen keys is not a standalone process, you need to get the root access. If you have already rooted your android then proceed to the next step else we have step by step tutorial to root any android device in one minute.
      FIRST METHOD:
This method requires you to download an app called SOFT KEYS. This app is free of cost and it is available on the play store. Many apps are present with the same name of SOFT KEYS, use this LINK to download the app.

      STEPS:
      1. On your android, go to settings and enable the unknown sources. This will allow installing the app which I provided in the above link.
      2. Download and install the app.
      3. Once the app is installed, open it and it will ask for root permissions which should be granted.
      4. Tap on Open Menu then tap on virtual keys and select enable the virtual keys. In few moments it will ask for reboot, select "Yes Proceed".
      5. After successfully restarting your android, you can observe the virtual keys on your phone. Congratulation!
      6. If you want to disable the on screen keys, then open the app, tap on Open Menu<< Virtual Keys<< Disable the Virtual keys.
If this method does not help you then do not worry, follow the next procedure.

      SECOND METHOD:
This method needs an app call called BUILD PROP EDITOR which is available on the play store for free.

      STEPS:
      1. Download and install Build Prop Editor
      2. Open the app, it will ask for root permissions. Make sure to grant root permissions else the changes which we make will not take effect.
      3. On Build Pro Editor, tap on edit symbol on the top right-hand corner, it will open the text file editor. Scroll down to the bottom and "qemu.hw.mainkeys=0"(Do not add "double quotes").
      4. Save the file and restart your phone.
      5. Your phone will show on screen navigation menu on your screen.
      6. If you wish to disable it, then remove the code that you have added in Build Prop Editor.

I made this tutorial to sound as clear as possible. I hope you will not face any issues.
