Octoplus/Octopus Box Samsung Software v.2.3.9 is out!
We have added “Factory Unlock” feature and support for Samsung Galaxy C9, Samsung Galaxy On5 2016 Duos TD-LTE, Samsung Galaxy On7 2016 Duos TD-LTE, Samsung Galaxy J3 and other models!

Factory Unlock feature is intended to unlock any phone, with some exceptions, that is not supported by normal means, e.g. QC-based devices with revised security. This will be your emergency button, that you dont really have to touch, like Factory FRP/Reactivation reset. Of course we are focusing on developing new solutions to expand your possibilities in unlocking with no additional charges, but also we hope for this feature to be handy for you one day. Or in two words: its not obligatory. You dont have to pay for this if you dont really need this

Octoplus/Octopus Box Samsung Software v.2.3.9 Release Notes:
?? Added “Factory Unlock” feature!
- This feature costs 220 Octopus credits per phone. Process time: 0-8 hours
- Devices with "Device Unlock App" (T-Mobile and MetroPCS) are not supported and credits will not be refunded!
- Sprint, Verizon devices, which IMEIs starting with 99xx are not supported and credits will not be refunded!
To perform "Factory Unlock" do the next:
Go to "Support & Options" tab in the software
Press "Factory Services (Reset FRP / Unlock)" button
Select UART interface and connect powered on device to Box via UART cable (Samsung C3300k/C3303k micro UART cable with 525-530kOm resistor)
Press "Factory Unlock" button and follow instructions in the software. If software cannot read necessary data from the phone via UART, please select USB interface, connect the phone via USB cable and repeat "Factory Unlock" operation
Factory Unlock process can take 0-8 hours. If the phone will not be unlocked instantly, run the software in a few hours later, press "Status and History" / "Re-fresh" buttons and check unlock status
When status is "Ready", press "Factory Unlock" button again - phone is now unlocked
If device still requests unlock code - enter 00000000 (8 zeroes) code.

Octoplus JTAG PRO Software v.1.2.1 is out!

With this Software update we are glad to present new advanced features and support of new devices.
On your numerous requests, we have released feature of repairing devices, which are based on MediaTek CPUs using scatter!
Also added new eMMC functionality - «Boot partition enable» and for Samsung eMMC flash chips - «Remove write protect» and «eMMC geometry edit».
In addition, added support for new Samsung, LG, Lenovo, Alcatel and Oppo devices.

Octoplus Box JTAG PRO Software v.1.2.1 Release Notes:
?? Added «Repair devices based on MediaTek CPUs using scatter» feature!
With this feature you can repair different devices via eMMC, which are based on MediaTek CPUs.
Old and new scatter formats are supported.

To repair such devices, you should perform the next steps:

I. If device eMMC is not damaged
Solder the necessary eMMC wires
Connect the device
Go to «Factory Repair» tab in the Software
Press «Repair devices based on MediaTek CPUs using scatter» button
Select proper scatter and necessary files
Press «Write partitions» button
Device repair is done
II. If device eMMC is damaged

If eMMC chip is damaged, you can replace it to similar Samsung eMMC chip.
You should have CID and know properties (Boot1, Boot2, RPMB partitions’ sizes) of eMMC, which you want to replace.

Connect Samsung eMMC to Box (via soldering eMMC wires or via eMMC adapter)
Press «eMMC geometry edit» button, enter necessary Boot1, Boot2, RPMB partitions’ sizes and set them
Write proper CID of eMMC, which you want to replace
Go to «Factory Repair» tab in the Software
Press «Repair devices based on MediaTek CPUs using scatter» button
Select proper scatter and necessary files
Press «Write partitions» button
After writing will be complete, replace device’s eMMC chip to programmed Samsung eMMC
Assemble the device and power it on. Device repair is done

?? Added «eMMC geometry edit» feature for Samsung eMMC. With this option you can set Boot1, Boot2, RPMB partitions’ size for Samsung eMMC

?? Box firmware has been updated! To update firmware, it is necessary to connect the Box and only then run the Software
Please pay attention! As you may have noticed, there is a minor issue with early Medusa PRO boxes firmware update.
Non-updatable boxes are covered with warranty and entitled for replacement by authorized resellers.
It will be not possible to use new eMMC feature («eMMC geometry edit», «Boot partition enable», «Remove write protect») without updating Box firmware!

Press "Factory Services (Reset FRP / Unlock)" button
Select USB interface and connect powered on device to directly to PC
Press "Factory Reset FRP/Reactivation" button and follow instructions in the software. If software cannot read necessary data from the phone via UART, please select USB interface, connect the phone via USB cable and repeat "Factory Unlock" operation
To perform "Factory Unlock" do the next:
Go to "Remote Service" tab in the software
Press "Factory Services (Reset FRP / Unlock)" button
